Swooning over spring

Today felt amazing outside! It was in the 70’s here in Raleigh, NC and I was loving life while I walked around the JC Raulston Arboretum during my lunch break. The arboretum is one of my favorite spots to escape to. It is filled with beautiful plants of all kinds which have started to slowly bloom. As I walked around and listened to my current repeat station of The Punch Brothers (if you haven’t heard of them I highly recommend! Folk/bluegrass) I admired the beauty surrounding me and felt thankful. With all the horrible things that go on in the world and every day stresses of life in general; it is easy to forget to stop and enjoy the moment.

I left a stressful situation at work to clear my mind and debrief which turned my day around. After the beautiful walk I felt clear headed which allowed me to come home happy, worry free, and actually energized. Rather than drained from letting the day get to me. It is days like today when I can sit back, smile, and reflect back on how great the little things in life can be. Of course I did not totally detach since I snapped these photos. I couldn’t resist with the blossoming trees and flowers.  My outfit is from Heartswoon which is a boutique outside Raleigh that I don’t get to visit as often as I would like but they have such great style. Their model makes everything look good so it is hard to not want the whole store. I bought a few spring outfits there recently and can’t wait to show them off. Today was the first day it has been warm enough to show one off. More to come soon 🙂

Hurry up spring I am ready for you! xoxoxo
