S t r o l l i n g  t h r o u g h  m e m o r y  l a n e ….

This weekend I went back to my sweet home town of Waxhaw, NC to visit my family (jess you count as fam so don’t try to say I didn’t include you lol). Going home is always a special time because I have such a close bond with my mom, sister, and dad.

My mom, sister, my good friend Jessica, and I had a belated galentines hoorah at my Mom’s house Saturday evening which consisted of great food, prosecco on prosecco, and lots of story telling of the present and past. Always fun to have girls nights. Wish I could have seen my other girlies but we plan to reunite soon (#ASSN – inside joke). I got to see my sister and her husband’s new apartment; we enjoyed a delish dinner my baby sister whipped up. My dad even made  guest appearance and came to have some drinks with us.

Sunday my mom and I went to brunch downtown Waxhaw at Provisions which is always my favorite place to go when I come back. Waxhaw has changed alot since I was growing up there, but I think some of the changes are doing good for the town. I do not want it to lose its small time charm and feel. I would prefer and few more antiques stores to still be around. Yet, the times change and towns change with it. It was just weird not to know everyone around me. That’s how things used to be in that little country town.

Anway back our sunday funday brunch.. I normally get their meatloaf sandwich because it is AMAZING, but this time we decided to switch it up. I got pancake, bacon, and garlic cheese grits. Mom got biscuits and gravy. All of it was perfect as usual. Shout out to Provision Waxhaw on Main St! Keep up the amazing work. #supportlocalbusiness

After brunch we strolled around downtown had a few blood Mary’s at a new Irish Bar in town Mary O’Neills. The menu looked great so I plan to go back there next time I am home for a visit. Then of course I had my mom snap some photos of me in my new amazing Denim jumper from @heartswoon (check out their instagram). I got so many compliments when walking around town!

The next group of photos I did a different editing style. More dramatic feel but I liked both versions so I decided why not post them both. Let me know which you like better!

Had a lovely 3 day weekend. Back to reality tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great week.
