This past weekend I went to my cousin Helen’s wedding in St Petersburg Florida. This was no ordinary wedding weekend, this was a Persian wedding weekend! My very first and hopefully not last because it was one of the best weddings I’ve been to! From the traditions to the entertainment and of course the beautiful bride and handsome groom. Everything was just beautiful.
Pictured above are a few photos I took around our hotel. We stayed where the wedding took place which was the Vinoy Renaissance Resort. It was gorgeous and had a lot of character. Waterfront and in walking distance to downtown I got to do a lot of morning exploring! Check out the resort! This would be a golfers paradise!
I tried to take as much advantage of the trip as possible. I woke up Saturday and watched the sunrise, went for a walk, and then met up for Brunch with my family which was short lived after my sister who is petrified of birds was basically attacked so we left this to retire to the pool. Which I did not even expect to do! I hadn’t even packed any swim wear until my sister suggested I do incase of a hot tub situation. Now I am so glad she did other than we didn’t bring SPF so I got a little burnt before the wedding.. you’ll see soon. 🙄
After the pool it was time to get wedding ready! My dress is sold at both Nastygal and Fashionova. If Cardi can rock it so can I! Currently 60% off right now: In Lace of Emergency Dress originally $120 now only $48!!!! See below my dress and sun burn I was speaking of. (Of course this would happen to me)
beautiful traditional ceremony pieces
The last picture seen here is with Mansour. He is a Persian singer that the grooms parents surprised them with half way through the reception! My Persian readers will know who this is.. for everyone else just know he’s famous lol. Although half the wedding was in Farsi it was one of the best times I have had. I love and cherish my family and I was so great to get to meet and see extended family. Thankful this week equals more family time. I am truly blessed.
