Venison Meatloaf

If you follow me on social media or know me personally; you know my boyfriend is an avid hunter. Since we constantly have venison I’ve started branching out with my cooking and I really had no idea how much you can do with deer meat! I now substitute it into everything! I’ve recently made a bolognese, chili, and now meatloaf! You could totally ad or subtract things to this but I thought ours was delish! Corey didn’t complain either so win win!

Venison Meatloaf:

2lbs ground venison

1 cup bread crumbs

In separate bowl mix:

2 eggs

1 cup broth (I did beef bone)

1 tablespoon mustard

Few dashes of worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon tomato paste

Paprika, parsley, salt, pepper

Whisk together and add to meat/bread – mix together but don’t over work.

Glaze: 1 can tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar (eyeball and taste test) I did probably 1/4 a cup ws and 3-4 tablespoons of brown sugar.

Coat bottom of pan w glaze and fill in with meat mixture. Then coat the top with the rest of glaze. Bake for 1 hr 20 min at 325.

Enjoy!
