Homemade Dog Food

I started making my dogs food at home due to allergies and easily upset stomach issues. They absolutely LOVE it and honestly eat better than me most days! I had a few people ask what I do and I’ve waited to “perfect” my method to reveal my secrets!

I start out by putting a few lbs of beef into patty form, then throw them on the grill to cook. I used to do ground beef style on the stove but between the grease and lack of space I’ve learned the grill is way easier! So I typically end up with 9 burgers.
While the burgers are on the grill I make a pot of long grain white rice, throw a few sweet potatoes in the oven and start to chop my veggies
I use a kitchen aid chop/purée thing to get broccoli, carrots, and whatever else was fresh at the store to chop it up fine so they can easily digest. Crazy ginny inhales food I don’t think she chews one bite!
The beef, rice, and veggie mix will look like this once you are done! pro tip: I also throw the burgers into the mixer to get them ground up quick and easy, with no mess!!
At the end I top with the sweet potatoes and blueberries, and last but not least I sprinkle on their vitamins! Currently we use Dinovite to make sure they are getting everything they need and more!

I hope this helps any dog parents interested in trying your own home made dog food! Let me know how it works out!!!

In short..

3-4 pounds of beef

Head of broccoli or a bag of florets

1 bag of shredded carrots (makes life easier)

2 cups of rice

4 sweet potatoes

1 cup blueberries

1 scoop of vita mix

Before you start go ahead and throw your sweet potatoes in the oven (they take a while). Patty beef into burger form and grill on medium until done. Once done grind patties up in mixer or blender.

Also chop broccoli and carrots in there as well

In the meantime Boil rice for 15-20 minutes! Once everything is rinsed and chopped combine together, top with sweet potatoes and blueberries and sprinkle on the vitamin supplement!
